Rapid Prototyping

Rapid prototyping is building a part quickly and without tooling, so a design can be physically validated for form, fit and function. Depending on your goal, we choose the right method — from visual models to final-material prototypes — and carry the prototype through to series production.

Not every prototype is built for the same purpose. The right prototype is shaped by the criterion you want to validate. The wrong technology produces either an unnecessarily expensive part, or an idle one that doesn't serve the purpose. We clarify the purpose first, then choose the technology.

    Transition to series

    We carry the validated design into series production with the same process; if 3D measurement is needed, we prepare a quality control report.

A Realistic Perspective

Not every part is a good fit for 3D-printed prototyping. For parts that are very large, very simple, high-volume, or better suited to an entirely different production method, we say so clearly and recommend the right path. Rapid production is a tool; our real goal is to help you make the right decision, faster.
